TOP Mountain Crosspoint for biking fans

Europe’s highest altitude motorcycle museum at 2,175m above sea level is a must on any adventure trip to the Ötztal Valley. A magnet for motorbike fans, this unique collection of historic two-wheelers never fails to impress. A 3,000sqm area houses 270 motorcycles by around 110 manufacturers as well as rare cars. From A for AJS to Z for Zündapp, all the major motorcycle makes of the last century are represented. Even if you’re not an out-and-out fan of classic bikes, this is a must-see – especially if you like contemporary design. The exhibition complex is a futuristic architectural statement set within the incomparable Top Mountain Crosspoint and was completed in 2015/2016.

For lovers of contemporary architecture

A creative masterpiece, this brilliant concept encompasses a panoramic restaurant and terrace, indoor and outdoor chill zone, toll station, lower terminus for the Kirchenkarbahn cable car, passing point between North and South Tyrol, and the meeting point between the Hochgurgl ski resort and the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road. Last but not least, it’s a motorcycle museum – 6,060sqm of multifunctionality at its best.
Even the most unrelenting piste freaks enjoy stopping here for a break and to admire the building. The curved TOP Mountain Crosspoint is generously designed and cleverly blends into the landscape. A landmark building featuring acres of glass and wood with a little bit of steel – garnished with views of the Ötztal Alps.

Special exhibition: vintage snow grooming vehicles

After a Tyrolen Marend, pizza or Aperol Spritz at the TOP Mountain Crosspoint Restaurant in Hochgurgl, step into the museum for a delightful display of historic snow grooming vehicles. The Motorcycle Museum stages special exhibitions – currently it’s the turn of historic snow grooming machines. Admire old piste equipment and Ski-Doos from Austria and around the world – the oldest exhibit dates from 1947.
